Web Weavers International has search engine optimization on the brain from the minute we start working on your website. We constantly think about how to optimize your content and only practice the best search engine optimization techniques when coding your website. Here are a few examples of the things we do for you:
- Lean Coding: By keeping coding to a minimum, search engines can easily read the important stuff - your content! To do this we hand code your pages and keep all Javascript and CSS files external.
- Valid Markup: Valid markup often ranks better, as a result we make sure that the code we write for you is 100% valid by running it through the W3C markup validator.
- Search Engine Friendly URLs: We make URLs easy for search engines to read and rank by using real words, combined with Apache's mod_rewrite and minimizing the use of URL variables.An example of a well written URL:

An example of a poorly written URL: www.examplesite.com/index.php?mod=23&art=132&lang=... - Internal link building: Links have relevant words in them, never "click here", so that search engines can better index your content.
- Text Links: We avoid the use of image links as text links rank higher in relevancy.
- Key Word Placement: We name your files using key words and place key words in the right tags, such as the alt, li, b, title, table summary, and H1-H6 tags.
- robots.txt: This is a file we create that is not visible to the public, but gives search engines information about your website. (often times forgotten about by other web designers)
- Site Map: A great tool for helping make sure that search engines visit every single one of your pages.
- Honest Practices: The absolute last thing you want is to have your website banned from search engine rankings because of unethical practices. We will always uphold the highest standards to keep your website off of the black list.
- Submit Your Website: After we have completed all of the above, we submit your website to search engines so that they can index it.
